Volunteer!

We need poll workers on our League team for all elections. We break the day into several manageable shifts. Training is required. This is not only a great fundraiser, but is immensely rewarding.

Do you enjoy talking on the phone? Would you like to help our smartvoter.org? We need volunteers to make follow-up phone calls to local candidates preceding elections. Do this from the privacy of your home during the hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. any day of the week. Computer savvy person is desirable, but not required. Email Stephanie at joy@razzolink.com.

We need members who are willing to present the League's Pros and Cons to groups and organizations that request it. Written materials and a video are available. Please contact president@sv.ca.lwvnet.org for more information.

We need people with contacts in the schools to help promote the mock election. Help may be needed in the schools with the voting during the last week of October. Please contact info@sv.ca.lwvnet.org for more information.

Our League is actively involved in several continuing local issues at the county and city levels. At the present time, we need members who can attend and observe meetings of the County Board of Supervisors or the Salinas City Council. We also are looking for members who are interested in participating in the immigration study over the next two years. Contact info@sv.ca.lwvnet.org if interested.
